I know there's a similar thread but I can't find it.
Anyway. Trays that Portobello mushrooms come in make great saucers for small pots. I can fit 3 small pots in one. They're also narrow enough for supermarket herbs on the windowsill.
They don't have a hole in the bottom so they make good saucers but I'm sure you could make holes if you wanted to plant something directly into them.

I use the clear clam shell containers that lettuce comes in as mini greenhouses to start seeds like lettuce or micro greens.

I am going to start eating Portobello mushrooms! :) For old cutlery, I use them for small areas in lieu of trowels etc. I do the same for seedlings etc. I have read of people using them as plant labels, using marker pens on spoons etc. Best one I saw once was a rain chain made out of spoons and forks. Bit too complicated for me to contemplate though!

I use an old table fork for lifting seedlings out of modular seed trays.   I've tried using old yogurt pots cut up to make plant labels but they weren't a success.  Too smooth for my pencil to write on well.

I have loads of plastic food trays saved for holding seedlings once potted on and as lids when extra warmth is needed.   Not all are suitable tho - too thin too shallow, too small, coloured plastic.........

I have some really good big plastic transport trays used for veggies by a supermarket I used in Belgium.  They were invaluable for bringing small and medium pots of plants when we moved and for storing them now when I'm growing things on - easy for moving in and out of shelter/sun/shade.

I use a washing up brush for many things except washing up!  Good for cleaning the bird bath, and, with water, small marks on paving or fencing, gardening boots, walking shoes, garden tools and lawn mower (not that often!).

@Obelixx I have used a bit of fine sandpaper on the plastic after I have cut the top and bottom off, but before cutting the yogurt pot into strips. Cut down one side and just flatten it open best you can to sand.  Go multiple directions to rough it up for the pencil.

Broken jug. After another fall I wasn't going to put it together again.
