Elli

I have a Viburnum plicatum Mariesii, Great Star. It looks healthy and is flowering now(late May)For the past 3 years or so it has lost all its leaves around late June, they then reappear towards end of August. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

@Elaine138 The only thing that comes to mind is stress due to lack of water.
If the problem is viburnum beetle the leaves would have holes and you would be seeing a real infestation.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
