amelanchier

OK - so it's my fault for not watering enough, but several branches on my amelanchier have no leaves - will watering rescue it?

We'd need to see a photo to give accurate advice, and also more info - age/maturity of tree, when it was planted, general climate/conditions, how it's being grown, soil etc.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

It'll probably be a combination of stress from last year's heat and drought followed by the inconsistent temps and rainfall this winter but, as @Fairygirl points out, a lot depends on where you are and what your local conditions are like in terms of soil, aspect, exposure etc..

I have one in a large pot at the moment. I do check it most days, it gets alot of water.
@Fairygirl has mentioned more info would be helpful but you may have already found the cause. How often are you watering?
