Can anyone help identify this please, got lots of it popping up. Think it may be verbena

    Yes,   Verbena,   Lovely for butterflies and bees.  It’s always a keeper for me. 🐝 🦋

    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    To think I actually bought some verbena plants/plugs back in 2014! :'(

    What I then found was that they're enthusiastic growers and even more enthusiastic seeders!
    Since then I've never been without them - they self-seed everywhere and grow in the most unlikely places.  Had a few growing in some crap that had gathered in a gutter on a small shed.
    Tallest I've had reached just over 10 feet (3 metres) and stems in excess of 2 metres is common.
    Bees and butterflies love them and the scent isn't at all bad either.

    But at least I'll never have to buy them again!
