Bee Orchid

I was excited to find this bee orchid in my shrub bed today. I haven't seen one since I moved here January 2021. In Dordogne, France.

    I remember finding one on a grassy bank just outside my little village school many many years ago … I showed my teacher and she walked all eleven other children along the track to see it 😊

    We have a road bank near us that we could always see bee orchids but we haven't now for some years. A fabulous plant.
