Are these insect eggs or what?

Hi everyone.
My husband found these under a rose leaf this morning. They look like eggs but they are in a perfectly symmetrical shape? Anybody know what they are and what are my next steps if there is anything I should be doing?
thanks as always.

    Very probably butterfly eggs.
I've no idea which type of butterfly though.
It's not likely to be any cause for concern for your plant and you'll be helping the butterflies

They will turn into caterpillars and eat the leaves , turn into chrysalis then emerge as butterflies
  • There are no British butterflies that feed on rose, but there are a few moths and other insects that do. If it was in my garden I would wait for them to hatch and then try to identify them. I think it is unlikely that they will do a lot of damage.

Green Shieldbug but still nothing you'd ever notice when they hatch. They suck a bit of sap from plants but aren't known as a pest in normal numbers.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
