Whatever the type of tree it shouldn't look like that. Can you tell us roughly where you are and post a pic of the whole tree please. It's not really possible to identify the tree from the pic above.

Thanks - I'm not sure what the tree/shrub is but I'm sure someone here will. The leaf problem appears to be some kind of leaf curl, often associated with Peach trees. But I never had a peach tree, so don't know if that is what you have.
