I would say false widow

Yep - false widow.
This was one I found in my old shed - identified by the British Arachnological Society

They're actually quite large, relatively speaking - because there are a fair number of look-alike spiders that are harmless.

Specifically this is a Rabbit Hutch spider which is one of the False Widows.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
