Garlic stems

Planted garlic last November and they are doing well. Do you just leave them to do their own thing or do you bend over the green stems like you do with onions? I have removed the flower heads that are beginning to show.

    I leave them until they’re ready to harvest … mid July usually for me … then as all the leaves yellow I know they’re ready … I don’t bend them … I use the stem for tying them into bunches and hang them up.
