Palm tree issue

There are palm trees in my front garden. They have developed yellow things growing out of them below the green proper leaves. Does anyone know what this is and should I be taking it off?

    Hello and welcome to the forum. Those are its flowers @vmj2009 I would leave them alone.

    If you don’t like them you can cut them off, close to the trunk, without harming the plant.  It will then put its energy into producing new fronds rather than seed.
