lawn shears diagram


does anyone know which way the washers and spring goes or has a diagram of correct fitting of parts would be greatly received or have a better photo of said shears as i acquired these and think they have been put together wrong. the photo is not the said item but they are the same shears. thanks in advance.

    I don't have a diagram but any spring washer would go on to the top blade with the nut screwed down on top. You can then adjust the tension so they cut cleanly without sticking or binding in any way.

    I've tried all different ways like you said spring on the top blade but is not making any difference the blades still have a gap and not cutting properly

    The picture is not very clear. We need to see the shears at an angle where the blade edges are parallel, so as to see the gap between them.

    All garden shears are constructed like a pair of scissors: each of the two blades is bevelled (sharpened) only on one side. The other side is flat, and the two flat sides are bolted together.

    Are the blades bevelled correctly?

    The picture is NOT of the shears they have been taken apart just would like to know the correct assembly of parts
