Re pot or leave it be?.

Morning. I have what I believe to be a bride and groom rose that was given as a gift.

It's survived winter and I have repotted it using soil and compost. The soil at the bottom of the pot is still wet after it being watered but there are drainage holes in the pot.

Its blooming at the moment and I'm wondering the best way for me to give it some tlc

Does anyone have any advice on what and what not to do at the moment

I haven't butchered it. It was given to me as it looks now. I'm just trying to save it.

Just keep the soil damp and let it bloom and grow.  Snip off the dead flowers. Then when it has finished flowering give it a small handful of organic rose fertiliser.

I don’t think that looks too bad, but I would prune out the dead bits like the cane on the left and the brown ends on some of the others. Pick off scruffy looking, diseased leaves and it will grow new ones. Other than keeping it well watered, you could give it a liquid seaweed feed now as a bit of a tonic and a liquid tomato feed as a bloom booster. I think it’s Vitax that does a 2 in one containing both, but see what your local GC has. I wouldn’t repot again at this stage, maybe next year if it starts to outgrow the current one.

Thanks for the replies.  I've pulled the diseased leaves off and given it a tidy up. I'll treat it to some feed tomorrow.
