Help - Astilbe dropping, what to do?

Hello! After some advice please - planted out a healthy looking Astilbe a week ago and it’s looking very droopy and sad now. Can someone help what with what I should do - the weather has been hot but it’s mostly in the shade and the soil has been consistently moist.

With the recent blast of sunshine we've had many of my pants are wilting in the sun.
Check early in the morning and you'll likely see the plant looks ok, later in the day it starts to wilt - it's the warmth that is causing them to grow fast and they have a tendency to wilt under such conditions.
So long as the ground around them is moist, they'll perk up when they get used to the warmth.

Check the roots for vine weevil grubs. They love Astilbes and have been known to be supplied with the plants from the nursery. We found over 50 grubs in one plant, that we bought.
  • Update - I’ve checked the roots and no vine weevil, but they do look a bit brown to me?

Just very dry to my eyes. Soak them before replanting. Then tease the roots out from the original soil ball.
