Walnut tree - no leaves on half of the branches

Our Walnut tree is 50 years old. Recently it has shown problems on some branches. An Arborist removed large dead branches in 2021. This year (2023) there are leaves on half of the branches (mainly south side) but none on several main branches and sub-branches.
Has anyone had a similar experience and if so what can I do?
