Buddleja problems

I have had Buddleja empire blue in my garden for a few years now but this year it doesn't seem to be growing very fast , I prune it to about 60cm every year, this time last year it had quite a lot of growth on it but this year there are only a few shoots, anyone give me any hints what may be wrong

    Not without seeing it, but many plants have been slower to get going this year, depending on your location/climate etc.
    Weather has been a bit changeable in the last couple of months, and some people are finding it colder than usual. Mainly those further south, whereas here, that's fairly normal for the time of year as our season is always later.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
