Using Escallonia Appleblossom as a shade tolerance Yardstick
A few years ago I planted EAB in deepish dappled shade in a bottomless raised bed under the outer shade of a large sycamore After reading up on it - after planting🙄, I discovered that it only flowers in sunshine. Fortunately, it hasn't read the books and is smothered in flower buds.
I was wondering, based on the fact that it is about to flower in that situation are there any other attractive shrubs -Â Â prefer deciduous but maybe evergreen - that would tolerate similar dryish clay conditionsÂ
