Too late to divide and plant out lupins?

EmerionEmerion Posts: 599
I’ve got 2 lupin plants in separate pots. One is in flower, the other isn’t yet. I’m assuming that the flowering one should stay where it is until next spring, but is it to late to plant out the unflowering one, and can I divide it this late in the season?
Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.

You can certainly plant it out, but i wouldn't divide it.
How can you lie there and think of England

That’s kind of what  I thought @punkdoc, but was hoping not because my back and I hate digging up and dividing stuff. Oh well…
