The Buzz……

Came out to the terrace because I heard a really loud buzzing noise….. these beauties have opened over the last few days and are apparently holding a bee 🐝 conference. 4 assorted bees vying for position in the same flower head. Of course by the time I grabbed the iPad to get a photo they have buzzed off, still flying around nearby so I’m sure they will be back.
Marne la vallée, basically just outside Paris 🇫🇷, but definitely Scottish at heart.

    Gorgeous poppies. Are they a named variety or did you grow them from a random mixture of oriental poppy seed?

    Beautiful poppies and such a vibrant red.  If I was a Bee, I'd be all over them too  :D

    Mine are opening too. Think they're called Beauty of Livermere.

    No idea it was a baby plant “rescue” a couple of years ago, first year it did not flower at all but last year it flowered whilst I was away so I missed it then too. This time I get to enjoy it!
