Does anyone have any of the "everlasting cornflower/Mountain bluet- Centaurea montana/knapweed" in their gardens? Recommended?
It looks nice and is likely to grow in my "wildflower area" bearing in mind it is growing nearby in similar conditions.

The first one could be Geranium oxonianum f ‘Thurstonianum’. https://www.gardenersworld.com/plants/geranium-oxonianum-f-thurstonianum/

I have Centaurea Montana in my holding beds, dug up from a previous garden.  I love it.  My mother grows Amethyst in Snow, a beautiful white variety with a dark center.  Now that I think of it, I should check to see if it survived the winter - they're normally pretty hardy, though.

Is that spikey flower in photo no. 1 actually growing from the geranium or is coming out of the ground separately?
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

I was actually wondering if I could dig up one of those growing wild and put it in my garden.

I had a look at the Amethyst in Snow - plants available for delivery at the end of July :o I presume that must mean "garden ready".
    When does yours normally flower?

Sorry I cannot check as I took the photo on a unkempt pathway a couple of km from where I live. Also I could not find that particular flower the last time I was there.

It could well be something else growing from between the geranium leaves.
