Organic gubbins

Can anybody identify this, please? Every day when I open the Velux window a teaspoon’s worth of it falls from the window frame onto the shelf below the window. It is very powdery with the colour of honeycomb, making me think it could be bee doings, though some is greyish. Thanks

It looks like the foam that goes along the top of the window behind the handle. Apparently it is called "flap foam". It dries up over time and starts to crumble.

Possibly Ceres, but my ‘foam’ gathers on the wooden frame, bottom right. When the window is opened quite a lot is still attached to the wood, the rest falling into the house. We had the same issue last year - same window, same place. The other Velux window is unaffected.

But I’ll explore your suggestion and have a closer look tomorrow. Thanks.
