Guelder rose drooping

Hi everyone,
I planted a guelder rose this spring and it’s coming along nicely. However it seems to be dropping towards the end of each day and is taking longer and longer to bounce back, despite having a good deep watering.

Does anybody have any idea why it might be doing this? I didn’t think they needed that much water!
