What happened to Mike Allen ?

Is he still around ? Maybe I've missed something .
His sometimes amusing if somewhat confusing posts were always worth a read , if only for a laugh .
Does anyone know of his whereabouts ?

    He last posted in February last year.

    He had cancer but his last tests were clear so I hope he's OK.

    Unfortunately forums come and go and, with them, their contributors and a wealth of information.  Some retain recognisable 'handles', like Mike, but others disappear altogether.  Occasionally, a member's advice can be couched in language that doesn't suit recipients and they vote with their feet.  Such well meaning offers may well be unintentional but unfortunately, the written word doesn't always accompany a vocal tone or facial expression that gives a wrong impression.  I've done it!
