Should I cut this back?

Slow-wormSlow-worm Posts: 1,630
I'm going to plant my goat willow out soon (not in my garden!), I cut it back in autumn, should I cut the taller stems back a bit now too or leave them?
I think the sideways growing one needs to come off, what do you think?

Maybe we’re all thinking similar,  Goat Willow aaag!  Not something people usually tolerate in the garden,  where were you thinking of planting it out too.
Trees usually form their own shape so I wouldn’t cut anything off if you want to keep it.

I'd shape it up a bit, lower branches and the one that goes from the left across to the right, that will eventually rub on something

I love them @Lyn , and I have a couple of friends with lots of land don't worry.
    Thanks @nutcutlet, I'll tidy it.
