I’ve just tidied up one of my hedges, no it’s not too late!  Best to use secateurs rather than shears or an electric trimmer to avoid tearing the stems and leaves but it will recover if you have to!

Hi, thank you !!! Is there anywhere in particular you cut or doesn’t it matter ?

I’ve just pruned back our grisellinia hedge, and will probably need to give it some further trimming later in the year. However, it is very popular with birds, so we only trim it carefully with secateurs during the nesting season.

Decide the height and width you want @tomcr1981 and cut each stem/branch above a leaf which will often have a bud developing or already in growth.  They are tough shrubs so don’t worry if you make a mistake, they soon recover!
