Hello @dangermousie. It looks very much like an ox eye daisy to me.

Oh I would love that! I've sown seeds (below) and they are pathetic  :D that one must have self seeded

Haha it does! Can't wait to get stuck in today. :) I got tennis elbow from pulling dandelions out two years ago, thankfully my technique has improved

Just a tip @dangermousie Monty Don uses a long bulb planter tool to get the soil out, drops the bulb into the hole and uses the soil in the planter to fill the hole again. I used that to get out Spanish bluebells instead if digging out. Such long bulb planter is used with leg power and much easier. Dandelion roots are straight going down and if my garden had weeds, I would invest into such thing. https://www.gardenersworld.com/reviews/tools/planting/best-bulb-planters/

I love them! I feel bad for accusing it of being a weed now ;)

They can be thuggish though, if conditions suit, so just keep an eye on them  :)

@Fairygirl you've just reminded me I've got some (more) crocosmia to dig up, I put the remaining bits in a pot because I do like it, but it took over in a huge way a few years ago - there are still a few corms under the blackcurrant roots.. tricky buggers! 😄
