Hypericum Hidcote - drooping tops, yellowing bottom leaves

I planted this hypericum over 2 months ago. It's growing nicely, there are a couple of new shoots. It's in a clay soil, I mulched it with compost. It gets sun for half of a day, it gets wind from one side, but from the other it's sheltered.
It's drooping quite often, so it seems like I need to water it every 3 days, but when I check the soil with my fingers the first 2 inches are dry, but deeper seems still moist. The tops are lifting after watering.
The bottom leaves keep getting yellow, not sure if it's because I don't water it enough or it doesn't get enough sun in the middle?
(Sorry, I can't seem to straighten the photos)

@KarolinaW I think it could still be recovering from being planted. I would water just once a week unless it becomes very warm. Use a can and give it at least too large cans full not on the leaves but right down at the roots.
If it flops when the sun is on it and recovers each evening once in the shade, I wouldn't be too concerned it is just the heat of the day.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
