Unhappy cherrycot

Hello all. I planted this cherrycot (cherry/apricot cross) tree last summer.
Blossomed well in late winter however it is beginning to look very unhappy. I've been doing some searching online and it fear it might be peach leaf curl.
What do you all think? I'm not mad about the thought of using fungicides if I'm right.
