Delphinium cuttings

A couple of questions please.
1.These are about 1 month's old. Can they go in the ground now or next year?
2. Do geums need deadheading? Thanks

    Personally, with my climate,  I would keep potting them on as needed and plant out next May.
    They don’t always survive a cold winter here,  maybe you have a warmer climate. 

    I nip off the dead flowers on Geums,  then when there’s no more, I cut the stalk back to the base. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
