Being inexperienced, when I bought this ericaceous-loving plant from the garden centre on the advice of the very knowledgeable bloke who works there, based on the conditions we have, I failed to write down what it is so now have no idea! So what is it, and do I need to snip the seeds off now that the flowers are gone?

When I bought it at the end of April:

How it looks today:

Pieris - lots of varieties.  :)
I don't know anyone who takes off the heads - they drop by themselves.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Thanks! Do I deadhead it? If so, where do I cut?

Sorry _ edited the post when I realised you asked about the flowers.
I've never deadheaded them but if you want to, you'd just snip at the base of the flowering stem.

I would leave the seed heads on personally. Flowers are short lived on plants their seedheads often add extra interest to the garden.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
