Orange flower for ID

This flower has just appeared in my garden. Does anyone recognise it? The leaves are distinctive.

    I would have said Ranunculus asiaticus in its double form.

    It certainly seems to be a Ranunculus. I grew some ornamental Ranunculus bulbs last year but they were not that colour, so I don't understand where it came from.

    Many plants will come back a different colour. It's pretty though isn't it?
