Viper's bugloss??
I'm not sure, but if it's VB I'd leave it - they're really pretty and the bees love them.

Hard to tell but it looks quite similar to my Anchusa which are just running up to flower. I think it's the same family as Vipers Bugloss, so it makes sense if they look similar.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
