Euonymus japonica cuttings.

If I take a cutting from a bit where I like the variegation, will the plant grow true to that pattern?
In London. Keen but lazy.

    I think it's a yes and no answer really. It's certainly more likely to keep the pattern but parts can still revert from what I have seen in people's gardens. It's common to see green branches growing on otherwise variagated plants and you simply have to cut these out.

    I agree, it works for a while but if it's prone to reversion or variation then the plants from cuttings will be too. Worth a try though.

    Thanks @JennyJ.  I don't know that my plant is particularly prone to reversion or maybe I'm pretty careful about picking off the odd green shoot.
