Can anyone help me identify some plants please?

Hi all,
Have moved into a property with established garden but having never gardened I don’t know what anything is! Would be grateful for some advice!

It’s usually regarded as a weed yes. However, it’s a valuable plant for wildlife as it’s the food  for the caterpillars of the Cinnabar moth, and is useful for other insects too.

However it’s particularly toxic to horses and other grazing livestock so it’s usually killed off on farms etc … therefore if it’s possible to grow it in our gardens where there are no cows and horses that can be good.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Thank you for the help everyone 😀
