Clematis for south west facing trellis.

I'm in the process of removing a solanum crispum (potato vine) and want to replace it with a couple of clematis.  All the searches I've done give suggestions for a SW facing wall, i.e. a location which will be warm and protect the plant to a degree in winter.  This is open trellis, not a wall so is exposed to the NE too.
I'd appreciate suggestions for summer to autumn flowering clematis to cover an area roughly 3 metres square.

Lots of Group 2s or 3s will be fine. Many of them aren't fussy as to aspect.
Easy ones like Etoile Violette or Rouge Cardinal for example. I've grown plenty of clematis which have twin aspects, no problem.
Just look at one of the specialist sites, and pick a colour  you like and go from there  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
