Any ideas for uses of compostable containers

We had meals in these, made by brand of Charlie Bingham. The packaging says these are compostable, and I'm sure they are. However, it seems a shame, when there is probably something they could be used for.

I've washed them thoroughly, but they are no good for plant pot holders, as they leak. At least, not indoors anyway.

I've no idea what they are made of - perhaps bamboo.

Can anyone provide some ideas?
Thank you.

How about growing cress in them? You will need a tray under them of course.

Placed on capillary matting or even a couple of layers of paper in a tray, they may do for a season of sowing salad seeds ?

I'll look and see what spare seeds I have hanging around. I've certainly got some salad seeds, and my wife likes the idea of both.
    I appreciate your input.
