Gazanias - not emerged - are they gonners?

I have one gazania in a pot - leaves have lasted all winter albeit looking a bit dry. I have one growing back in border but the other two or three have not appeared? Are they gonners? Thank you!

Who can tell? It's been a brutal winter after a very hot dry summer so a lot of plants have succumbed to the conditions but many are just taking a bit longer than normal to get going. I've given up on a few plants but only this morning one surprised me with a new leaf at the base so a bit of patience, or laziness, might see the return of the lost gazanias. Sometimes miracles happen......but not often.

They won't survive frost, so I would be surprised if they coped with this winter. They are normally grown as annuals.
