Dear members.

All Winter I thought this plant was a Camelia!

Now it has flowered it maybe a Rhododendron!

Looks like it belongs on the set of the original Star Trek : )

Lovely soft peach flowers.

All info greatly appreciated.

Thank you  : )

Yes, a nice Rhododendron.. no blooms this year by the looks of it, it will produce fat buds in between those leaves which will flower next Spring for you..

Those pretty pink bracts are not the flowers..

Try hard to remember what you bought it as.
location: Surrey Hills, England, ex-woodland acidic sand.

Late summer is the time buds get formed for the following spring, so make sure it doesn't go short of water if you're in a drier area  :)
I would clear a lot of those weeds away at the back of it, so that it doesn't get swamped by them. Many of them get quite big too.
Regular mulching - compost, leaf mould if you have that, or any other organic matter,  and a layer of bark as a mulch [after the soil's well moistened] will help keep the surroundings a bit more weed free  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Dear Member.

    Thank you for enlightening me.

I inherited the mystery plant with my new garden.

I will post images when it flowers.
