Hazelnut tree with white fungus

Hi, we were given a hazelnut tree, which was also supposed to grow truffles. However, a large white mushroom has grown at the base of the plant. Pretty sure it's no truffle, but no idea what to do with it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jackie

    Looks a bit like an oyster mushroom or similar. Harmless and will probably be beneficial to the tree once it's planted in open ground.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
