Spiders

A few  of these spiders have been living on the outside of our window  frames for  a few years  I suppose I  could have shifted them  but I haven't.  There are cocoons as well. I don't  know if it's  a nursery or a larder . Can anyone identify  our lodgers?

Not a great picture  I'll  try to do better  if necessary.

If the web is a nice round shape then they will be orb weavers of some kind. It's usually orb weavers in the corner of windows. If you look at the web it will have spokes like a wheel with concentric rings between but if a couple of the 'spokes' don't have any rings between them then you can tell the exact species because only the Missing Sector Spider does this. https://www.nhm.ac.uk/take-part/identify-nature/spiders-in-your-home/missing-sector-orb-web-spider.html
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Yes. I noticed a web like that this morning but it was destroyed when the spider tried to capture a shield bug . Thank you @wild edges.
