Pink brandywine, Marmande in allotment greenhouse, tumbling tom in hanging baskets at home. I know that it's early yet but the weather needs to buck up!

Sweet aperitif as nothing else I’ve grown comes close for flavour, and trying Limoncito for the first time.
First time for Limoncito for me too.

Here in Lincolnshire my husband says if we haven't picked a tomato by last weekend in July, they are late.
The last two years with growing cherry types we can be picking them by end of June. It will be interesting to see what this years old and new varieties will do.
The first sets of flowers are just appearing on some, so we are on target for this year.
  • Romello, Red Alert and Pear Drop - determinate all started 19th Feb
Sungold, Shirley, Orange Beauty, Bumble Bee Mix - indeterminate all started 19th March

Romello have been good growers and i have 3 plants with growing tomatoes already. Need to see how they taste

Yours is growing so fast. I dont expect mine to be at that stage in a month or two.

I’ve tried Minibel this year. They’re supposed to be good for baskets and containers so we will see!
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

    Ozark.
    Cocktail Crush.
    Big Mama.

I only sowed my tomato seeds a couple of weeks ago but they are almost ready to pot on into their next sized pots. I usually pot mine on 3 times before potting up in their final "grown up" pots. Planting them deep each time to encourage root growth along the stem which seems to help the final plants remain stable and not flop over.

Yellow Pear and Gardeners' Delight (although only two of the latter germinated)
Did you use the seeds from the GW in February @JennyJ for the Gardeners Delight?
My ones are so slow growing, I never had that problem before. If that continues I will have my first green tomatoes by Christmas.

    I my garden.

  • I am growing Maskotka for the second time, they were recommended on here and we really liked them last year; Golden Crown, recommended in GW’s magazine as better than Sungold, and two Sungold from our friend so we can compare them; And one Black Opal from a local nursery.

No, they were the last ones from a packet that I'd had for several years. I think they were from Wilko but I threw away the empty packet so I'm not sure. The ones that germinated are growing at the same rate as all the other varieties.
