Any idea what’s going on with my Buddleja?

Hi everyone. Am hoping someone may be able to help. My purple buddleja is looking a little worse for wear. It is located in a position with full sun and well draining soil. Over the past weeks I’ve noticed a skeletal appearance to the leaves. I thought it may be due to aphids so have been spraying with a soapy liquid over the past week to no real effect. Any idea what could be causing this?!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Stephen

@sjdurrant82O6dhr8I- It is almost impossible to be sure but puckered leaves are often caused by aphid or other insect drawing sap from the leaves. Aphids can carry virus infections which might be the cause of the yellow areas. This is where it gets difficult as being sure your plant has virus is not possible to confirm without access to a laboratory I believe? Sorry I cannot give any better advice my knowledge is limited on the subject. Welcome.

One of my buddleia looked like this two weeks ago. Never happened before so was a bit worried. Then when I looked at it again a couple of days ago it looked fine. They're growing so fast right now that I suspect it was a temporary problem on new growth and the even newer growth has covered the wrinkled ones.

Fingers crossed yours will do the same.

I wouldn't worry either. Mine often look like that in spring. They just grow out of it.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
