Jasminium stephanese looking awful

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can tell me what to do with this Jasmine please? I’ve taken it down from the trellis. I don’t remember it flowering much last year and the leaves are really small. The bottoms are basically bare. It’s in a full-sun area.

Jasmines can look awful from spring into summer. Lower stems can be bare and that's not unusual, especially if you don't give them a tidy up once a year. If it's a new plant of just 1-2 years old, make sure it's watered well in the first few years, especially during the warm summer months where there has been long periods without rain. Prune them down to encourage it to produce more new stems/growth.
