Small brown beetles all over the garden?

    Looks a bit like a woodworm beetle to me …  :/
    … but there’s loads of beetles around and the photo  is a bit
    indistinct. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Thanks, Palistris, does it mean they are harmless?
    No, it just means that they are not weevils. There are plenty of harmful beetles around!

    What is thedefinition of a harmful beetle? There  thatare just going about their business playing their part in the ecology of our planet … they may eat a bit of our plants … but they provide the  birds with food.

    "harmful" as in woodworm, death watch beetle or even flea beetle where the numbers are so great that they decimate crops.
    Perhaps a better prhase would have been "less welcome".
