Slow worms

So pleased to find my first slow worm of the season. I love finding out that they are still around.
I went to get my phone to take a photo, and returned just in time to see its tail end disappear through a crack in the garage wall.
But he'll be back (and it WAS a he).😃

Thats great! Still waiting for my first one this year. We had a really big one last year just appeared on the grass. No photos as I was so busy watching it. I always feel privileged that they have chosen my garden.

A large colony of Slows here ( SW UK ) - adults and young.  Most hiding under their various carpets/butyl liners but definitely starting to wake up.
