Getting crafty with cuttings - GW May

Hello,
Long shot but in the Gardener's World May magazine, there was a reader email along with a lovely photo about garden craft, entitled 'Getting crafty with cuttings'. In this case it looked like cuttings were used to make baskets.
Has anyone got any experience of this, the types of cuttings to use or how to do it? Or even if the author is lurking, I'd love to learn more!
