Morning fairy. I do of course re-use pots,(they had various nicknames for me at work) all good natured because of my saving of pretty much everything. I also use root trainers, (they are years old)but trying to be helpful and thoughtful to a newbie, you can get swamped with too much information,so get eating that yogurt!!

    Oh - I know @Nanny Beach  - I wasn't being critical   :)
I use old cream pots for seeds too, but the best ones are the takeaway coffee cups when my daughter buys me a coffee. Excellent for anything needing a deep root run, and you can re use them too. Then they get composted - apart from the tiny base part. Very little waste.
I used to get yogurts in small, shallow pots, and they're very good as a tray/saucer under small pots, and also as a lid, to make a tiny propagator. I don't use trays very often for seed sowing.

Sorry to pinch your post, poster(, I think fairy and I are actually sisters) we have a very large glass dining table which has been chock full of seeds seedlings plants along with window sills in every room apart from our bedroom for the whole of the winter
Driving me nuts. We bought the set in a charity shop (had had the last set since 1980, dog chewed the legs when a puppy) everything is going into various greenhouses,AND next week,we are having our very first ever in 35 years,NEW dining table, which folds/extends,3 chairs and a bench. Excited!!

I learned a long time ago about sowing a reasonable amount of seeds for my situation @Nanny Beach , especially as I moved many times in a few years.
However-   I have still managed to boll0x that up this year, as I bought some new dahlia tubers....
One good thing was that one of them was miles ahead about 6 weeks ago, and it's huge, so it was sitting on the kitchen table near the window, and then into the gr'house a few weeks ago. I had no choice but to leave it outside a few days ago. Lugging the thing in and out of the gr'house in it's final pot was doing my head in  :D

Fairy, here lugging things in and out (like the citrus) does your back in.... not your head! I have a prolapse, hubby back pain, after pruning, got youngest daughter and bloke to meet us at the nursery yesterday, carry the compost, and old dining set into the garage.

I've had a dodgy back since my teens - too much heavy work. I suppose I'm just used to it - I only notice when it isn't sore! No room for dining tables in this house. Can't say I'm too bothered though -less cleaning  ;)
Fortunately, the dahlia's been fine, even with the frost level temps on Friday night. I've got a cutting I took from it early on, and that's needing moved on , so I'll do that today and it can take it's chances as well. It's been outside overnight, just with basic cover, so it can go in among some other plants. Two of the others are doing ok as well, so they'll be able to stay outside soon too. I need to sort the gr'house out.

I had a bit of an experiment with peas. Tried a few in loo roll holders and others in pots. The ones in pots are much healthier looking and bigger too. The ones in loo roll holders are growing, but they are behind.
Gardener of a driveway pot garden - flowers one side, veg the other and a car in the middle. I am so looking forward to the day we can move into a house with a bigger garden.
