What are these (weeds?)?

I inherited some dahlias last year and I unfortunately haven’t planted them.

I’ve looked in the pots this spring and everything but the dahlias is growing (I’m pretty sure they have rotten)

What are all of the other things growing in here? Pretty sure I have some parsley going on…

In the first photo you have (top left) a young thistle, (top right) pennywort and the parsley looking thing is not parsley but could be one of the many other umbelifers. it looks like the young cow parsley I have but it's way to small to be sure.
In the second photo the plant in the middle is a young sycamore sapling.

The first pot,  could the thistle type be a teasel,  it’s very prickly for a young one.

I will probably let them all grow and see what comes of them.

I will update when they are larger, and easier to identify! :)

I've just managed to get pennywort (navelwort as I call it) established in my garden. It doesn't really grow naturally in the East Midlands. I guess you're in the south west somewhere?

You could gently empty the pot and poke around to see if any dahlias have survived. I am suprised to find that quite a few of mine - even ones in quite small pots - which I forgot to bring in over the winter - seem to have. I dosily started pulling the leaves off one for a few monents thinking that it was a weed. Doh. But most are not visibly sprouting yet.

I will definitely be saving this, and possibly transferring it somewhere it can stay permanently.

I am in Hertfordshire, so South East

I have done this to some other dahlias, and unfortunately they were a rotten mess!

I will transfer some of this new growth and have a little dig around to see how they're looking under the surface. Wish me luck!
