WanderingJew

Poor thing isn’t doing too well I’m sort of assuming it’s my lack of watering and misting.

I picked off a lot of the brown leaves but it seems to have even more. I was wondering about repotting because it’s all roots but I read it likes to be root bound, so maybe not?

It’s had a good water and a mist, including been fed by baby bio. I was considering moving it to the bathroom. South facing window but frosted so not to strong sun hopefully.

You could try that , but it looks like it’s outgrown its pot to me . Maybe try and get a pot one size larger and see how it goes .

I would take some cuttings and grow a whole new plant... they strike easily in water.

I wrote "Jew's Ear" and my post was cancelled.

You've been going since yesterday.  What's your secret?

The thing with tradescantia is that they're a ground cover plant rather than a trailing plant. The wandering habit is supposed to set down rooted stems as it goes along so while they're happy to trail in thin air for a while they often die off like this eventually. As Dove says the best plan is to keep taking cuttings and making new plants. It's often easier than trying to repot something like this anyway.
By the way the more PC common name now is Wandering Jewel. ;)
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Thank you for everyone’s advice. I have repotted him, it’s not looking too good but at least there is hope with the cuttings they are rooting after three days.
