Like  quite a lot of sun but with the best will in the world, I suspect it may struggle considering the amount of ground cover you have there.  Perhaps you could fix a hanging pot on one of the branches with a trailing plant to give you a splash of colour for the summer?
    Nice looking garden BTW :)
  • I have seen a gardener (Arthur Parkinson) place a thunbergia in a hanging basket before and instead of climbing up it trailed down. Could you do this? Perhaps place a naturalistic basket at the top and allow it to trail down if you don’t wish to clear the space below?

harmony ..no idea where you live but it is not very hardy.
A cold winter will kill it.
    • H2: tolerant of low temperatures, but not surviving being frozen (1 to 5)
Maybe something else would be better.

I'd put a couple in a large container under the tree. it will die first frost.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

If ground space is an issue, I grew some last year from seed. A few in the ground, few in containers. Grew equally well. Maybe stick a couple in a 12in pot at the base of the tree?
