Red/brown leaves on Star Jasmine
We have what I think is a Trachelospermum jasminoides, planted 5 or 6 years ago in a small bed on a south-facing wall in a small courtyard area. It has flourished to date, with not much care & attention besides summertime watering. But I have just noticed that many of its leaves have turned dark red or even brown. I have tried Googling for the reason/solutions, but can't work out whether it is due to too much water, too little water, lack of nutrients, pests or fungus! I don't want to make things work by trying the wrong 'cure', so can anyone advise what is most likely the issue here?
In case it is relevant, it is planted next to a Rosa Banksiae Lutea, whose leaves also look rather unhappy (photo included below).
Thanks!

In cold winter some of the leaves turn red. Often they will revert to green, occasionally they don't.
Just snip off the brown dead bit
Ps - looks like black spot on your rose - I know it well
